Chris Dobson Art History Tours are an irresistable and unique blend of art, chivalry and gastronomy, with tours and events from the ancient heart of Florence, to the beautiful Tuscan countryside. They are accessible presentations given in informal settings, by a museum specialist, put into context by qualified local guides: in this way participants get the best of all worlds. Group sizes are kept small, to give everyone a truly personal experience, in a friendly atmosphere.

There are also events: informal evening presentations about the art and history of Tuscany. If required, Chris can also organize events tailored to your requirements, right up to corporate hosting packages.

Of course, to get the best out of your trip to Tuscany, food and wine are every bit as important as the galleries you visit, so Chris has included something to delight the hungry (and thirsty) traveller in his tours and events, and if you need a place to stay in Florence, you will find links to great accomodation as well.

Chris Dobson is author of the book San Romano, The Art of War, a reappraisal of the three great battle paintings by the Florentine artist, Paolo Uccello. In 2005, Chris was employed as a consultant for the TV programme The Battle of San Romano, part of the series The Private Life of a Masterpiece, produced for the BBC. He appeared in the programme, also shown on TV in the USA in late 2008.
